Education
Welcome to the Church of the Holy Comforter and our ministry of Christian formation and education for all ages. We believe that Christian formation and education is a life-long journey, which enables us to deepen our knowledge of, and relationship with, Jesus Christ. Christian Education classes are held on Sundays, September through May, from 9:30 am to 10:15 am, with worship services at 8:30 am and 10:30 am. Look for Sunday School greeters and directional signs to get you in the right class.
You will find opportunities to deepen your fellowship with other seekers as well as deepen your own faith. These opportunities are available for the youngest to the oldest person; for those who are just beginning to explore Christianity as well as for those who are life-long Christians.
Adults have a variety of opportunities to learn more about Christianity and faith related issues during Adult Class, as well as other mid-week offerings, such as Alpha. Persons interested in formally joining the church through the sacrament of Confirmation are especially encouraged to attend Adult Class on Sundays. We also have inter-generational events, along with the occasional potluck lunches held once a month.

Christian Formation is the ministry of providing learning opportunities for persons of all ages and stages that allow for the building of information about the faith, the formation of faith and the transformation of our lives so we can live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

In order that through God’s grace,

Christian Education draws our focus toward beliefs, concepts, and theology. Spiritual formation draws our focus toward the inner relationship with God. Christian Formation has to do with creating situations that allow God to work within the person to bring forth the loving, creative person that God envisioned. It helps to create the “shape,” the “form” of the beloved child of God, of the disciple of Jesus. This happens as we, the church, partner with the grace of God working in that person. We never outgrow our need of Christian Formation, which is why we are offering these classes for all ages. We pray that you will take advantage of them and deepen your relationship to Jesus Christ and grow in your knowledge and love of the Lord.
