Guest Preacher for All Saint's Sunday
We welcome The Rev. Amy Bradley as our guest preacher on All Saint's Sunday, November 3rd. Amy is the Associate Rector of our sister church, St. Augustine's, but just as important she is the chaplain for The Canterbury Club at Augusta University. She shares the Episcopal ministry with the students there, whether they are part of our denomination or not.
On Saturday, October 26th, we're celebrating fall! The Festival is from 10am to 2 pm. There will be a dunking booth (with perhaps the pastor as target?), a Bounce House, Duck Pond, Face Painting, Lawn Games, balloon animals and hotdogs, etc. This really will be fun for all ages so invite a friend...and then invite them to worship with us!
Book Club Meeting
Our next book is Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. We meet Monday, November 11 at 10am upstairs at the church.
Civil Rights in America - A Pilgrimage
This is a unique opportunity for dialogue, healing and racial reconciliation as we explore key sites in the history of the Civil Rights Movement in the company of gifted ministers who have labored hard in the areas of conflict resolution between peoples: The Revs. Drs. Gary Mason and Brian Tillman. The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Taylor is the Episcopal pilgrimage host. The trip is March 17-24. Pick up a flyer in the foyer. Questions? Contact Dr. Taylor at email@example.com.
